About the Japan Neurosurgical Society

 

The objective of the Japan Neurosurgical Society, GIA (General Incorporated Association), is to develop and popularize neurosurgical science and contribute to academic development in Japan, as well as national welfare through neurosurgical practice, by means of presenting neurosurgical theories and research on their application, exchanging knowledge, and cooperating and collaborating with other members and related societies in Japan and foreign countries.

As of September 2024, 7,935 Board certified members were engaged in medical practice. The Japan Neurosurgical Society has 10,594 members in total, including 164 honorary/special members (including 39 foreign members), 33 guest members, and 41 supporting members. These members include physicians in training.
